The Treehouse was built by Mary Pigott for her grandkids who enjoyed many hours in the scenic perch above the meadow. The Treehouse was constructed around 4 existing landmark western red cedars in two phases. The first phase, in 2013, included the larger meeting room and tapered stair entrance. The second phase added the additional elevated connected structures - a rigid bridge, the suspension bridge and the lookout - in 2014. The Treehouse has unique features such as the handrails, repurposed ski rails from Montana, windows in meeting room, except for one, from Mary’s old barn and other features created with reclaimed wood from Jake Jacob’s mill.
The Treehouse will be open for visitors four times per month from March through October. These dates and times are posted here and are also posted at the park kiosk.
If interested in visiting and viewing this amazing treehouse, you are at the right place. The City is only offering limited visitation by the public in order to preserve the integrity of the structure and protect the trees in which it resides.
Pre-registration is required to view and visit the treehouse. No walk ups are allowed.
Please look over 2022 open house dates and times for the Treehouse. Viewing and visitation is a 20-minute timeslot session beginning on each half hour with a 10-minute buffer time between groups. A max of 25 people are allowed in each session. We only have a few rules outside of traditional park codes that apply to the treehouse
Please select date and time you like to reserve a spot for treehouse visitation. A waiver must be filled out to at the time of your visit to complete the registration. Anyone under the age of 18 years may visit the treehouse, but the parent or legal guardian must review, complete and sign the waiver to be valid.
