Planning Commission

The City of Sammamish will be canceling the Thursday, November 17, Planning Commission meeting in favor of moving the meeting topic scheduled for that meeting (Department of Commerce Comprehensive Plan Checklist) to the December 15 meeting date. October and November have been very busy months for the City – not only with the Comprehensive Plan Update kicking off with the Planning Summit, but also the review of the Housing Needs Assessment, beginning the Climate Action Plan, and more. As a result, we need to adjust our timelines to ensure work products that go before our Commissions and Council have had time to be fully reviewed by staff and are of the highest quality.

To ensure we are utilizing the time with the Planning Commission to its best extent, we are postponing the presentation on the Department of Commerce Checklist Review to the December 15, 2022, Planning Commission meeting date.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

The Planning Commission makes planning policy recommendations to the City Council and offers advice on development regulations. The Commissioners will also make recommendations on periodic adjustments to the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
