The seven-member Planning Commission makes recommendations to the Council on land use ordinances and regulations. The nine-member Parks & Recreation Commission advises the Council and staff on matters relating to planning, acquisition of land, and the development and operation of parks facilities and recreation programs. There are two openings on each commission and each term is for 4 years, beginning January 1, 2011. The commissions meeting at least monthly in the evenings at City Hall. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, please fill out the appropriate Application below and submit it, along with a letter of interest and a relevant resume, to the City Clerk no later than November 1. For the Planning Commision, you must be a resident of Sammamish to apply. One "Non-Resident" position is available on the Parks & Recreation Commission.
