The northbound lanes of 228th Avenue between Discovery Elementary and Southeast Eighth Street will be closed to traffic between 4:30 and 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, to clear space for Skyline High School's annual homecoming parade.

Northbound drivers will be routed onto one of 228th Avenue's southbound lanes during the parade to preserve two-way traffic at all times. Police recommend, however, that drivers use 212th Avenue and 244th Avenue as alternative routes to ease congestion.

All lanes of 228th Avenue are expected to be open by 6 p.m.
