Volunteers will join Mayor Tom Odell handing out flyers at the Sammamish Safeway and QFC as well as the Klahanie QFC all day on Saturday. Your donation for food to help families in need is appreciated. The city of Sammamish along with other Eastside Cities is participating in a coordinated food drive from Sept. 22 through Oct. 13.
Local volunteers will be handing out fliers and collecting food from stores, schools, high school games, homeowner associations and businesses throughout the city of Sammamish. Additional drop off points throughout the month are located at Sammamish City Hall, Plateau Chiropractic at 22647 NE Inglewood Hill Drive and TLC Montessori at 21512 NE 16th St.
All food collected in Sammamish will go to the ARAS Foundation Harvest Festival and the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank and other local charities serving families in need.
