On the evening of Thursday, Aug. 9, the celebration of Krishna's birthday should bring a lot of traffic to the Vedic Cultural Center along 228th Avenue. The center, also referred to as the Krishna Temple, is just south of Skyline High School.
The festivities, running from 7 p.m. until after midnight, may draw around 4,000 attendees. To help with traffic and parking, the event organizers have hired three off-duty police officers.
