A car collided with a male teenage pedestrian along 228th Avenue around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon. The southbound lanes of 228th near Skyline High School were expected to be closed until about 6 p.m.
The northbound lanes of 228th operated normally, but those driving southbound on 228th were advised to take a left on Southeast Eighth Street and then follow the detour through the Skyline High parking lot.
The teenage boy was evacuated to Harborview. It was not clear Friday afternoon how serious his injuries were.
